Professor Ted Cantle

Ted founded Sustainability First in 2000 and was Chair until March 2018. He was previously Deputy Chairman of the Environment Agency and led the Environment City bid for Leicester City Council in the late 1980s and the Nottingham Declaration on climate change in 2000, which was subsequently adopted by just about all local authorities in the UK and has now spread to other countries. He set up the Institute of Community Cohesion (iCoCo) and this became the UK’s leading authority on community cohesion and intercultural relations. He has established the iCoCo Foundation to build on this work and to develop policy and practice on interculturalism and community cohesion.

Lord Larry Whitty

In his long and distinguished career, Larry has served in numerous roles including as Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at Defra (with responsibility for farming, food and sustainable energy), General Secretary of the Labour Party, Chair of Consumer Focus and Board member of Ofwat and the Environment Agency. He is Chair of the Energy UK Commission for Customers in Vulnerable Circumstances and a member of the House of Lords EU Internal Market Sub Committee and European Union Committee.

Lord Teverson

Lord Teverson is Chairman of the House of Lords EU Energy and Environment Sub-Committee. He was a Liberal Democrat Member of the European Parliament for Cornwall and West Plymouth from 1994 to 1999. Lord Teverson has also previously served as the Liberal Democrat Lords Spokesperson for Energy and Climate Change and chaired the Lords select committee on The Arctic.

Baroness McIntosh

Baroness McIntosh is a former Chair of the House of Commons Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Committee and former Shadow Minister for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs. She served as the Conservative Member of Parliament for Thirsk and Malton until 2015 and Vale of York from 1997 to 2010.
